Solar Eclipse 29-Mar25

On 29 March 2025, the Moon passed between Earth and the Sun, creating a partial solar eclipse visible across large parts of Europe. From Orp-Jauche, approximately 23% of the Sun’s visible surface was covered at maximum eclipse. Although much more subtle than the deep eclipse of August 2026, the event revealed the unmistakable silhouette of the Moon slowly crossing the brilliant solar disc. Captured from Orp-Jauche, this moment records the elegant geometry of the Sun, Moon and Earth — three celestial bodies briefly aligned across hundreds of thousands of kilometres of space.
